Friday, October 9, 2026: We live in a tense cultural moment. Our disagreements and differing ways of viewing the world can feel like life or death. When we sense that the stakes are raised, it is easy to be defensive and suspicious of others who are different from us. Sometimes, those who identify as Christians seem prone to stoking the flames of discord. But this kind of tension and clash of beliefs is not new to our context. In the midst of similar times of societal anxiety, Jesus Christ lived and modeled a different way, without compromising on his convictions.
